What will you do?
- Designing, developing, and maintaining reliable software solutions using Rust, with Java being an important complementary technology;
- Working with AI coding tools like Cursor.ai;
- Contributing to software architecture and technical decision-making;
- Developing new features and continuously improving existing systems;
- Designing and implementing APIs, services, and system integrations;
- Writing clean, maintainable, testable, and production-grade code;
- Participating in code reviews and technical discussions;
- Identifying pragmatic technical solutions and evaluating engineering trade-offs;
- Troubleshooting performance, concurrency, reliability, and integration issues;
- Working with containerized applications and cloud-native environments;
- Contributing to automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, and software quality practices;
- Working collaboratively using Agile methodologies;
- Producing clear and effective technical documentation.
What do we expect from you?
- Academic degree in an ICT-related field;
- Minimum 4 years of professional software engineering experience;
- Solid hands-on experience developing production-grade applications in Rust. Good understanding of the Rust ecosystem, including Cargo, ownership and borrowing, error handling, async programming, concurrency, testing, and idiomatic Rust development;
- Knowledge and experience with Java (e.g., with Spring Boot, Quarkus, or Jakarta EE);
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes is a plus;
- Experience working with AI coding tools like Cursor.ai, Claude Code, or Codex;
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitHub, GitLab, Maven, and SonarQube;
- Knowledge and experience working with BDD (Behavior-Driven Development) is a plus;
- Good understanding of database systems, both relational and non-relational;
- Willing to learn and adopt best practices and emerging technologies;
- Team spirit and orientation towards excellence;
- Professional fluency in Portuguese and English is mandatory.
