School Coordinator

Role overviewWe are a small international school operating under a Cambridge license and are seeking a School Coordinator who will also act as Lead Science Teacher for Years 3–5.

This is a combined leadership and teaching role. You will be responsible for the day-to-day coordination of the campus while remaining actively involved in teaching until the end of the 2025/26 academic year.

You will work closely with the Founders and serve as the main on-site operational and academic lead.

Key responsibilities

Teaching

Teach Science to Years 3–5 (12 lessons per week) following the Cambridge Primary curriculum

Academic coordination

Coordinate schemes of work

Observe demo lessons for new teachers

Lead staff meetings

Review and proofread student reports

School operations

Manage the school timetable and daily operations

Organise substitutions when needed

Coordinate the on-site team (teachers, administrator, chef)

Parent communication

Act as the main point of contact for families

Conduct school tours for prospective parents

Communicate students' academic progress

Student onboarding

Support new students during their integration into the school

Requirements

Native or fluent English (C1/C2)

Experience with the Cambridge International Curriculum

Teaching qualification and relevant classroom experience (Primary or Lower Secondary preferred)

Strong organisational and communication skills

Comfortable working in a small-school environment

Currently resident in Portugal and available to start in late February 2026
