We are now looking for a Security Support Engineer willing to accept new challenges in our Closer team in a hybrid project based in Lisbon.

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Deploy and operate secure administration infrastructure for critical IT and network assets.
• Configure and maintain firewall filtering rules and security policies.
• Install, configure and maintain IP network and security equipment.
• Support operational teams in troubleshooting and incident resolution.
• Maintain security infrastructure in operational and security conditions (MCO/MCS).
• Contribute to the automation of security solution deployments.
• Collaborate with Network and TelcoCloud teams for infrastructure deployments.
• Produce and maintain technical documentation, architecture guidelines, and best practices.
• Participate in security architecture design to protect infrastructure services.
• Contribute to projects involving security tooling, access control, and infrastructure protection.

Required Technical Skills

Networking & Security

• Strong understanding of TCP/IP networking
• Experience with routing, packet filtering, and firewall configuration
• Knowledge of IPSec, SSL encryption, proxy technologies
• Experience with IDS/IPS solutions
• Knowledge of IPv4 / IPv6 addressing and routing concepts

Security Infrastructure

• Experience with firewalls and security appliances
• Knowledge of network security architecture
• Troubleshooting of security and network environments

Systems

• Strong Linux / Unix administration skills

DevOps & Automation

• Experience with:
• GitLab
• GitLab Runner
• Ansible

Containers & Modern Infrastructure

• Experience with:
• Docker
• Kubernetes
• Microservices environments

Nice to Have

• Experience with Cisco or Juniper network equipment
• Knowledge of infrastructure services such as:
• DNS
• NTP
• Reverse Proxy
• Proxy
• TACACS
• LDAP / LDAPS
• Experience in large-scale enterprise or telecom environments

Soft Skills

• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
• Ability to work autonomously in distributed teams
• Experience collaborating with international teams
• Strong communication skills in English
