Senior Database Developer / Data Platform Engineer

We are looking for a Senior Database Developer / Data Platform Engineer to join an innovative robotics project in Tagus Park!

What we are looking for:

• 5 years of experience in Database Engineering, Data Platform Engineering, or Backend Development with a strong database focus;
• Advanced knowledge of SQL and PostgreSQL;
• Strong experience in database design, data modelling, indexing, transactions, migrations, partitioning, and query optimization;
• Experience modelling operational, historical, configuration, and analytics data for production systems;
• Knowledge of concurrency, consistency, locking, idempotency, and data integrity;
• Experience supporting backend services through reliable and high-performance data access;
• Understanding of operational versus reporting workloads, including read models, event logs, aggregations, and materialized views;
• Experience with Git, automated testing, CI/CD, Docker, and Linux;
• Good English communication skills.
• Experience with Python or Rust, TimescaleDB, Redis, Kafka, NATS, MQTT, Kubernetes, time-series data, event-driven architectures, robotics, logistics, or industrial systems will be valued.

This is a hands-on product engineering role. It is not a pure DBA or reporting/BI position.
