Senior Java Developer

We are currently looking for a Senior Java Developer to join one of our innovative technology projects in Portugal.

This opportunity is aimed at professionals with strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, REST APIs, and Cloud Technologies , who are passionate about developing scalable, secure, and high-performance software solutions.

You will play an important role in designing, developing, and maintaining enterprise applications, contributing to modern software architectures and delivering reliable technology solutions.

The position offers the flexibility to work fully remotely or in a hybrid model , depending on your preference and project requirements.

Required Skills & Experience

• Academic background in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology , or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Strong professional experience in Java backend development .
• Solid knowledge of Java 11/17 or later versions .
• Hands-on experience with Spring Framework and Spring Boot .
• Experience designing and developing Microservices architectures .
• Strong knowledge of REST APIs and system integrations .
• Experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or Oracle .
• Good understanding of SQL, database design, and query optimization .
• Experience with Git, Maven, or Gradle .
• Knowledge of unit testing and integration testing , using tools such as JUnit and Mockito.
• Familiarity with Docker and containerized applications .
• Understanding of CI/CD practices and DevOps principles .
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments .
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to code quality.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
• Good level of English, both written and spoken .

• Gross annual salary between €35,000 to 40,000
