Senior Java Full Stack Developer (Java, React, MongoDB, JAX-RS)

Senior Java Full Stack Developer (Java and React) – 12 Month Freelance Contract – Lisbon (Hybrid 1 day per week in office) - TypeScript / React / Next.js + Java + JAX-RS + MongoDB + GCP

We are looking for an experienced Full Stack Developer to join the development of internal Frontline Tools, including JPD, CRM-API, Kompassi, and Sales Tools, with the primary focus on JPD and CRM-API development.

This is not a traditional Java full stack role. The position requires strong experience with modern frontend technologies, RESTful services using Jakarta standards, and cloud-based development on GCP.

You will work across the full stack, contributing to UI development, backend APIs, and cloud-native deployment pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Participate in full stack development of internal Frontline Tools (JPD, CRM-API, Kompassi, Sales Tools)
• Develop and maintain frontend applications using TypeScript, React, and Next.js
• Build backend services using Java and Jakarta RESTful Web Services (JAX-RS)
• Design and integrate REST APIs for internal systems
• Work with MongoDB for data storage and retrieval
• Manage source control and CI/CD using GitHub and GitHub Actions
• Deploy and maintain services in Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, secure, and maintainable solutions

Required Skills (Must Have)

• Strong Full Stack experience with TypeScript and React
• Experience with Next.js in production environments
• Solid Java backend development experience
• Experience with Jakarta RESTful Web Services (JAX-RS)
• Experience with MongoDB
• Experience with GitHub and GitHub Actions
• Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
• Experience building and integrating REST APIs
• Experience working in modern cloud / microservice environments
