Senior Java Software Engineer

We are looking for a Software Engineer focused on Back-End and Systems Integration (Java / Spring).

We are expanding our team and seeking an engineer with experience in scalable systems, integrations with third‑party platforms, and modern backend development.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain robust and scalable integrations with third-party reservation systems.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested back-end code, primarily in Java and the Spring ecosystem.
• Work with a variety of API protocols and data formats depending on the integration target.
• Diagnose integration problems and create solutions, collaborating with our account management team.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as a Software Engineer.
• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Strong proficiency in Java.
• Experience building or consuming APIs (REST / JSON).
• Pragmatic problem-solving mindset.
• Fluent in English.
• Previous experience in system integration or API-focused roles.

Nice to have

• Experience with Spring Boot.
• Experience with AWS
• Familiarity with Docker or containerization.
• Experience with observability tools (ELK, Grafana, Prometheus).

The role is remote but candidates must be based in Portugal.
