The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Java backend development, with a solid background in Spring Boot, AWS and Microservices architecture. They should be experienced in designing scalable solutions, developing secure APIs, working with containerization and orchestration technologies, and delivering software using Agile and DevOps practices.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop and maintain scalable backend applications using Java, Spring Boot, AWS and Microservices architecture, following secure and maintainable design patterns
- Contribute to frontend development when required, using technologies such as React.js or Angular
- Collaborate with the Product Owner and development team to deliver features within Agile/Scrum sprints, backlogs and user stories
- Implement DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines, Gitflow, configuration management, Infrastructure as Code and deployment strategies, using Docker and Kubernetes
Qualifications
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with Java development, including recent Java versions and Spring Boot, with strong knowledge of AWS, Microservices and design patterns
- Strong experience with Docker and Kubernetes, as well as DevOps practices including CI/CD, Gitflow, IaC and deployment patterns
- Solid understanding of API security, authentication, authorization and data privacy best practices
- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies
- Frontend experience with React.js or Angular and knowledge of Node.js and PostgreSQL is a strong plus
- Proficiency in English and Portuguese (B2+) and availability to work in a hybrid regime, 2 days per week onsite in Lisbon or Porto
