Senior Fullstack Engineer (Distributed Systems)

We are looking for a Senior Fullstack Developer to join a dynamic, international Tech Hub based in Lisbon. As a Senior, you will act as a technical reference: contributing to architecture decisions, code reviews, and ensuring quality through best practices and testing. We value generalizing-specialists, adaptable developers who enjoy exploring a variety of technologies beyond a single stack.

🛠️ Responsibilities

• Build and evolve backend services with Java and Spring Boot.
• Design and implement REST APIs.
• Work across the stack, including frontend development with React and Next.js.
• Write unit and integration tests, troubleshoot, and optimize code.
• Contribute to CI/CD with GitHub workflows and actions.
• Keep clear technical documentation (Confluence, IcePanel).

✅ Requirements

• 5 to 8 years of experience. Someone who works under broad direction, acts as a role model, and inspires the team.
• Backend development with Java / Spring Boot.
• REST API design and implementation.
• SQL and relational databases (MS SQL Server or equivalent RDBMS).
• Version control with Git, Maven or equivalent.
• Unit and integration testing.
• Frontend development with React, Next.js.
• Good level of English (working proficiency).

🤩 Nice to have

• Hibernate / JPA or equivalent ORM.
• Microservices, Hexagonal Architecture, Event-driven Architecture.
• AWS or other cloud platforms.
• Familiarity with TDD / BDD.
