Senior NodeJS Developer with Java Experience

We would like to meet a Senior NodeJS Developer with Java Experience for a project based in Portugal.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain backend services using Node.js (v22+) and Express.js
• Design and implement RESTful APIs to ensure seamless integration between systems
• Develop custom extensions and reports using Java (SDK 22), JavaScript, and Velocity
• Enhance system functionality and ensure integration with other platforms
• Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI/CD
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable and high-performance solutions
• Contribute to architectural decisions and backend best practices
• Support and guide junior developers, promoting knowledge sharing and technical growth

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
• More than 5 years of experience in backend development - Node.js (v22+) and Express.js
• Solid experience with Java (SDK 22 or similar) for application or extension development
• Strong knowledge of JavaScript for backend and scripting purposes
• Experience designing and developing RESTful APIs
• Experience with CI/CD principles, GitLab CI/CD pipelines and NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, DocumentDB)
• Knowledge of AWS cloud platform and in OpenSearch
• Experience with Angular, Velocity and/or Polarion ALM (nice to have)
• Fluent in English (mandatory)
