We would like to meet aSenior NodeJS Developer with Java Experiencefor a project based in Portugal.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain backend services using Node.js (v22+) and Express.js

Design and implement RESTful APIs to ensure seamless integration between systems

Develop custom extensions and reports using Java (SDK 22), JavaScript, and Velocity

Enhance system functionality and ensure integration with other platforms

Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI/CD

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable and high-performance solutions

Contribute to architectural decisions and backend best practices

Support and guide junior developers, promoting knowledge sharing and technical growth

Requirements

Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field

More than 5 years of experience in backend development - Node.js (v22+) and Express.js

Solid experience with Java (SDK 22 or similar) for application or extension development

Strong knowledge of JavaScript for backend and scripting purposes

Experience designing and developing RESTful APIs

Experience with CI/CD principles, GitLab CI/CD pipelines and NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, DocumentDB)

Knowledge of AWS cloud platform and in OpenSearch

Experience with Angular, Velocity and/or Polarion ALM (nice to have)

Fluent in English (mandatory)
