In my current position I work for six sister companies of Dutch Flower Group (DFG), the largest flower trader company in the world. All companies are on the SAP Commerce Cloud platform and have their own individual B2B e-commerce webshop designed and developed by the Dutch Flower Group team. As I am part of the DFG team I am responsible for creating design solutions that fit both the needs of internal stakeholders as well as the needs of our customers.
Given that we work with fresh products, the functions on our webshops are mostly custom-built. Consequently, the user experience differs greatly from typical webshops. Meeting the standards that we’ve set for ourselves in our industry requires a great deal of complex problem-solving and an inquisitive attitude.
As I am the only designer on my team, I am involved in a wide range of tasks and projects. This is a challenging but also very fulfilling role, in which I have a lot of creative freedom and responsibility. Within my 2 years of working for DFG.
