PhD in Engineering and Management, specialising in how technological change impacts labour markets, with 6+ years of econometric analysis in Stata on large-scale data from Eurostat (EU-SILC) and Statistics Portugal (SCIE, Quadros de Pessoal). One paper under review at a Q1 journal, a second in submission stage; invited peer reviewer for a Q1 journal in the field. Now looking to move from measuring how firms and workers adapt to technological change, to working alongside the teams driving that adaptation.

Doctoral Researcher at IN+ – Center for Innovation, Technology and Policy Research (2020-02 – 2025-12)

• Cleaned and cross-referenced analytical samples from EU-SILC longitudinal microdata (23k+ workers, 26–28 European countries) and the Quadros de Pessoal employer-employee database (100k+ workers), addressing missing data, sample selection, and harmonisation across countries.
• Built econometric models (discrete-time duration, competing risks, multinomial logit) on these samples to assess how employment protection legislation, automation, and digitalisation affect reemployment and job-to-job mobility across European labour markets.
• Conducted firm survival analysis on Portuguese services data (SCIE, Statistics Portugal/INE, 200k+ firms), evaluating how innovation investment and knowledge intensity affect long-term firm performance and survival outcomes.
• Presented research findings at two international conferences (ISPIM Berlin 2021, EBES Lisbon 2023).

Analyst Intern at IAPMEI – Agency for Competitiveness and Innovation (2017-07 – 2017-08)

• Evaluated post-project performance of 35+ QREN-funded firms (SMEs and large enterprises), cross-referencing IES financial data against contractual commitments on sales, employment, and innovation investment to assess compliance with programme objectives.
• Assessed eligibility for loan discount tiers (75%-100% discount vs full repayment) and produced evaluation reports for senior decision-makers, supporting investment allocation decisions.
