I have started as a Physics Bachelor student, but from the first year I realized that what fascinated me was the Mathematics behind the Physics. This lead me to apply for a Masters in Mathematics where I found my interest Algebra and Geometry. The tools provided by Algebraic Topology applied to Geometry, working with Complex, Symplectic and Kähler manifolds stemmed my interest for Geometric Quantization, Hamiltonian Dynamics, Poisson and Contact Geometry.

Being introduced to Rings, Modules and later Algebraic varieties got me looking at Algebraic and Commutative Geometry as research fields. Lie Theory was present in many of the courses I took, as it was strongly related with Differential Geometry.

Educational Engineer at LxMath/Omniscience (2025-09 – Present)

• Working as a Mathematics Tutor/Mentor in IB school system.
• Contrary to the usual school system, IB school system is more challenging as it is demanding, intense and subject oriented, fostering a critical and holistic way of thinking.
• It is usual to have university level topics covered, particularly in HL levels, which I often taught.

Freelancer at Outlier (2025-02 – 2025-09)

• Working as a Mathematics consultant for AI prompts, prompt reviewer.
• Most of the tasks consisted in either validating answer or coming up with solutions for problems given by prompters.
• Prompts would often be about Calculus, Algebra and Geometry at University Levels.

Tutor at Independent Mathematics & Physics Tutor (2025-01 – 2025-09)

• Tutoring students in Linear Algebra, Calculus, Thermodynamics, Mechanics, Kinematics.
• The background as fairly vast: Students from Pilot Training at the Portuguese Air force; from Electric Engineering; from Computer Sciences.

• Student preparation for Mathematics and Physics high-school exams.

Tutor at CEO - Centro de Explicações Online (2020-09 – 2025-02)

• Tutoring high-school students in Mathematics and Physics.
• Skills required: organization, clear communication, ability to simplify concepts.

Field assistant/ worker at EcoPlis Project (2016-07 – 2017-08)

This project was carried with the support of Museu de Leiria and had a duration of 2 years, during which I performed tasks such has: Field presence in excavations, sorting of relevant material to analyze, handling of a theodolite. There were frequent exchanges of ideas within the team of the project, setting up a exemplary learning environment.

Scout at Scout (2006-01 – 2022-05)

From a young age I was part of this movement. Throughout the years I got to learn autonomy, perseverance and leadership. Survival skills, knowledge of knots and construction and discipline were acquired during my time there.
