Senior Product Development
- Working independently but closely with the Design team and development team to develop new products for CALM by CREW garments, including bespoke, made to order and ready to wear collection (existing and new products).
- Measuring and fit all samples with the design/development team.
- Ensure critical path dates are met and proactively seek out solutions to challenges faced.
- Regularly introduce and present new products internally to the Client Team, ensuring they are kept up to date with products and pricing.
Sampling
- Managing factory sample production to size sets, including sourcing fabrics/trims/packaging and advising on garment construction.
- Managing timely sample analysis for fit and suitability with design/client team
- Carrying out testing on fabrics and garments and final quality control criteria before passing to production
- Managing and tracking all production samples, ensure the critical path and project deadlines are adhered to.
Production
- Awareness of margins and production capabilities. Working with the production manager when implementing new garments into production
- Negotiating and check prices, quantities and lead times with global factories and suppliers • Raising POs for raw materials and samples, and approving invoices for payment
- Arranging necessary logistics of shipments with Team Assistant
- Traveling to factories as required
Garment Tech Support
- Researching suitable fabrics, trims and make sure suitable tests are carried out and reported on.
- Carrying out testing on fabrics and garments and final quality control criteria before passing to production.
- Assessing current and future production garments to proactively prevent quality issues
- Technical troubleshoot on new and existing garments.
