Working with a Robotics startup
I’m a Portuguese engineer who has done his Master's in Electrical Engineering in Taiwan specializing in Robotics.
I developed two deep-learning algorithms for a companion robot for my master’s thesis.
January 2019, I've been working with MOV.AI, a robotics startup. We developed a whole framework on top of Robot Operating System (ROS) that allows the deployment of robotic solutions to different clients in an easier way. In the beginning, I was developing the platform, so I used ReactJS for the frontend and Python for the backend. But I mainly did frontend.
After the platform was stable, I changed my focus to robotic navigation. I developed the whole MOV.AI navigation stack with my teammate using Python and C++. The end product is that you can draw paths and key points, create graphs, define areas in a web app, and add constraints for any autonomous mobile robot (AMR) to follow the user's desired path.
