Cloud Engineer (OpenStack + Python) at BairesDev

As a Cloud Engineer specializing in OpenStack and Python, you will develop and maintain robust, open-source cloud infrastructure. You will manage the intersection of virtualization and software automation, ensuring highly available distributed systems that power scalable cloud environments.

What You'll Do

• Design, deploy, and administer production-grade OpenStack clusters and their core components.
• Develop Python-based automation scripts and tools to streamline infrastructure management and orchestration.
• Optimize and manage distributed storage solutions and virtualization layers to ensure peak system performance.
• Automate the provisioning and lifecycle management of virtual machines, networking, and bare-metal workloads.
• Implement monitoring, alerting, and self-healing processes to maintain infrastructure reliability and security.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to define cloud standards and support the migration of services to OpenStack.

What we are looking for

• 4+ years of experience in Cloud Engineering, Systems Engineering, or Infrastructure.
• Proven expertise in designing, deploying, and maintaining OpenStack cloud environments.
• Advanced proficiency in Python for infrastructure automation and scripting.
• Strong understanding of Linux systems and Ceph distributed storage management.
• Advanced proficiency in English.
