Construction Superintendent

Job Purpose:

Provide front line safety and technical leadership. Ensuring safe effective and efficient execution of scaffolding activities in accordance with the project schedule and compliance to safety, quality and technical policies procedures and standards.

Providing technical support to all company functional teams within an assigned construction division and geographical area. Provide technical guidance to assure Contractor compliance during planning and execution scaffolding operations.

Interfaces with other project and construction area teams removing progress constraints, sharing lessons learned and executing corrective actions. Lead and promote a one team approach to attain Company objectives.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Sciences or Engineering

Discipline recognised industry trade qualifications e.g., NVQ/City

&Guilds, NACE, CITB/CISRS, etc. certifications issued by Internationally Recognized bodies

Experience:

8 years' experience with Large Projects in Construction Related Disciplines (e.g., Construction, Installation, Fabrication, Execution, Completion, Hook-Up, Etc.) in ihe Oil & Gas Industry, including 1 Year of experience in a supervisory role, including acting roles, or oversight of service/vendor personnel.

Experience with Oil and Gas companies, contractors, service companies, or heavy construction companies.Knowledge of design standards, specifications, codes, and appropriate safety criteria related to major fabrication, transport, installation, brownfield execution, and hook-up, as applicable to the project scope.

Knowledge of onshore facilities, or yard operations as applicable to a project scope.

Knowledge of execution methods and risks associated with sour gas and LNG production facilities.

Experience working in large scale operating organizations in Operations, Projects, Subsurface, etc.

Demonstrate extensive experience in scaffolding operation in onshore Greenfield environment.

Demonstrates sound written and verbal communication skills and organizational skills.

Skills:

Ability to work within document control systems reviewing, consolidating, and approving technical and project documents.

Ability to read and translate project schedules.

Ability to read and translate approved for construction drawings.

Ability to use (Read) Navis works (3D model)

Ability to prepare, approve, verify scaffolding plans.

IT literacy:

Word, Excel, PDF, skills to support reporting, reviewing and communication requirements.
