Estimation Engineer

Job Opening | Estimation Engineer – We are looking for an experienced Estimation Engineer to join our team on a full-time basis in Qatar.

Role Description: The Estimation Engineer role is a full-time, position based in Doha, Qatar.

The Estimation

Engineer will prepare detailed cost estimates and Bills of Quantities (BOQ) for civil engineering and construction projects, ensuring accuracy and alignment with project specifications.

Responsibilities include analyzing drawings and technical documents, conducting quantity take-offs, and coordinating with project managers, engineers, and vendours to gather relevant data. The role involves researching materials and market prices, supporting tender preparation, and participating in negotiations to optimize cost and value.

The Estimation

Engineer will also help refine estimation processes, maintain estimation records, and contribute to continuous improvement of project planning and cost control.

Qualifications:

• Strong expertise in Project Estimation and BOQ preparation, with the ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Solid foundation in Civil Engineering principles, including construction methods, materials, and industry standards.
• Proficiency in Research and data analysis to gather cost information, benchmark prices, and support accurate forecasting.
• Negotiation skills to collaborate effectively with vendors, contractors, and internal stakeholders on pricing and contractual terms.( Added Advantage)
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related engineering experience.
• Experience in estimation for infrastructure, commercial, or industrial projects; GCC or Qatar experience is an advantage.
• Familiarity with estimation and project management software, and strong MS Excel skills.
• Attention to detail, strong numerical aptitude, and the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced project environment.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills in English; additional language skills are beneficial.
