I believe that I have the relevant experience and personal qualities to make a great success of this role and help the further development of the Arabic department.
Currently and in previous years, I have been very successful in teaching Arabic for the past 10 years to a variety of year groups (ks1 & ks2 ), My role at these school’s has been primarily focused on planning educational activities using a variety of teaching materials in order to bring the Arabic Language alive for the students . I have had to create activities to suit different age groups and be able to adapt and improvise where necessary.
When leading lessons, I try to make sure that they are always fun and engaging so that students want to come to my lessons and learn. I build relationships with students and try to understand how they learn. I use different learning strategies in my lessons such as targeted questioning, differentiated objectives and effective marking to help students to make the required progress.
As an Arabic Teacher, I am passionate about raising achievement, ensuring the highest provision of teaching and learning for students. I have created a range of opportunities for students to flourish and develop a growth mind-set. I have established high standards and expectations from my students which are essential for the role of an outstanding teacher.
I have demonstrated leadership skills throughout my time at Al Jazeera Academy, as of the current academic year. I have successfully taken the lead of KS1/2 in Arabic, my professionalism and leadership skills have been praised by my current line manager.
As an Arabic Teacher, I maintain strong links between the student, Head of Department and parents. I ensure the following tasks are undertaken;
· Setting Expectations; pursue of excellence through Respect, Attendance, Punctuality and Behaviour for Learning.
· A focus on creating a closer link with parents, more regular updates through data evaluation.
· A focus will be on providing subjects teachers with the necessary support to manage behaviour issues – walking the floor, early interventions, Zero tolerance approach.
· Introduce more reward trips and praise students, sanctions in place for bad behaviour.
For extracurricular I have led Arabic competitions with other schools and debates. This helps students to understand the content that is taught in the classroom and apply it in a different environment.
I am a committed team player with high professional expectations of students, staff and myself. I am dedicated to raising student’s achievement and continually use my energy, enthusiasm and flexibility to ensure every child performs to their utmost best, also whilst enjoying their educational experiences.
As a committed, organised and enthusiastic educator, I feel that I would bring a fresh and dynamic approach to the Arabic language department. I am sure that I will be able to adapt to my new surroundings ensuring that I contribute to the already effective team that is in place.
