- Review method statement of the activities and the design risk assessment.
- Monitoring of earth works activities for; CCTV, ACS (Access Control System), Physical Security System (Road Blocker, Hydraulic Bollards, Tire Killer) Installation, Rock crushers / Trenching / Excavation / Back pilling /stockpile areas and the moving of equipment, vehicles and people.
- Verifying work permits for Air Force and Land Force approved by concern Military Personnel and ensures safety controls are in place.
- Inspection of plant, equipment and machineries, lifting gears, fitness with relevant updated documents and color-coded design by the project.
- Verifying competencies of workforce including equipment operators, riggers, banksmen, scaffolders, welders and personnel's working at heights and confined spaces.
- Ensuring the proper arrangement of pedestrian walkways / vehicle access & parking / workers welfare facilities / chemical storage / fire points / assembly point area and loading & unloading areas of buses.
- Observing toolbox talk / safety alerts and other safety awareness information for the workers that is being conducted by Supervisors or Engineers.
- Monitoring of heat index temperature at summer time for heat stress prevention and control.
- Ensuring that workforce is provided the required PPE's and they are wearing in site premises at all times.
- Inspecting and verifying all work permits; Lifting / Hot work / Confined space / Military Permits all throughout the site.
- Suspend work execution whenever an event endangering human safety or could potentially jeopardize the final quality of the project.
- Periodically verifies that all personnel in the work area know what to do in case of emergency situation and how to evacuate the area.
- Reporting of accident / incident / near misses to HSE Manager.
- Reporting daily site observation to our Safety Supervisor with rectification report.
- Submit all necessary reports and documents such as Manager's report, Weekly observation trackers and Monthly HSE Statistics Report to Headquarters for record.
