I am a BSc-qualified Quantity Surveyor, with 10 years of experience in the Middle East. I have a strong track record in managing large and small multidisciplinary projects, including high-end Palaces, hotels, airports, villas, Restaurants, and high-rise buildings in Doha, Qatar. My expertise includes pre- and post-contract duties, cost planning, cost controlling, preparing subcontractor agreements, interim valuations and claims for extra work and variations, as well as handling subcontractor claims.

I bring a servant leadership approach and am adept at identifying problem areas and guiding staff toward collaborative corrective actions. I also have a talent for identifying project needs to drive process improvements and bottom-line gains.

Pre-Contract Activities:

• Obtain and review tender documents, drawings, and specifications.
• Analyse the scope of work and identify the key tasks, materials, and labour required.
• Prepare a detailed estimate of the cost of the project, including labour, materials, and any other costs.
• Prepare a risk assessment and cost plan for the project.
• Liaise with suppliers to obtain quotations for materials and labour.
• Prepare and submit a detailed tender submission.
• Negotiate with the client to ensure the best possible outcome for the project.

Post-Contract Activities:

• Monitor the progress of the project and ensure that it is delivered on time and within budget.
• Liaise with the client and other stakeholders to ensure that all contractual requirements are met.
• Monitor costs and ensure that they are kept within the agreed budget.
• Prepare and submit regular progress reports to the client.
• Prepare and submit any necessary variations to the contract.
• Monitor the quality of the works and ensure they are completed to a high standard.
• Prepare and submit final accounts and claims for payment.
