Job Title: Systems Algorithm Engineer

Location: Bucharest, Romania

Type: Permanent

Our client are an AI company looking for Engineers to do hybrid working from their site in Bucharest.

Key Responsibilities

Research, develop, and test signal processing algorithms for sensing applications using Python, MATLAB, and C++.

Build digital twins of sensing platforms to analyze algorithm performance and guide system architecture decisions.

Design and prototype new algorithms on GPU platforms and analyze their real-world performance on embedded hardware.

Execute bring-up for new chipsets containing core sensing algorithm revisions.

Define algorithmic specifications, present performance metrics to stakeholders, and build automation for testing and evaluation workflows.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or a related field.

Proven experience in algorithm development, signal processing, and hardware-integrated systems engineering.

Strong software engineering architecture and development skills in C, C++, and Python.

Solid working knowledge of probability, statistics, and quantitative mathematics.

Desirables

Background in statistical signal processing for RADAR/LiDAR, wireless communications, or equivalent domains.

Domain knowledge in advanced perception, coherent imaging, LiDAR, or optical physics.

Experience with sensor modeling (simulation/hardware-in-the-loop environments).

Hands-on experience with PyTorch and/or CUDA.

Familiarity with analog/front-end electronics and noise modeling.

Demonstrated ability to build production automation tools and rapidly adapt to new technical domains.
