Cloud Operations Engineer

About the Role

We are looking for a Cloud Operations Engineer to support the daily operation, maintenance, and optimization of cloud environments across platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, and Alibaba Cloud. The ideal candidate has a solid foundation in cloud operations, Linux administration, networking, container technologies, and database management.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform daily maintenance and administration of cloud platforms, including AWS, Azure, and Alibaba Cloud, to ensure stable and reliable operations.
• Monitor cloud resource utilization, identify potential issues, and troubleshoot basic infrastructure and performance problems.
• Implement cloud security policies and support the protection of systems, data, and cloud resources.
• Provide technical support to users and resolve common cloud-related issues.
• Assist in preparing, updating, and maintaining cloud operations documentation.
• Collaborate with senior engineers and cross-functional IT teams on cloud configuration, deployment, and integration.

Requirements

Education & Experience

• Diploma or above in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or an equivalent international qualification.
• At least 3 years of experience in cloud operations and maintenance.
• Hands-on experience with major cloud platforms such as AWS and Microsoft Azure. Experience with Alibaba Cloud is also an advantage.

Technical Skills

• Familiarity with cloud architecture, resource management, and day-to-day operations across major cloud platforms.
• Practical knowledge of Kubernetes, container technologies, and message queue systems.
• Experience with at least one relational database and one NoSQL or search engine technology, such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or Elasticsearch.
• Strong Linux system administration skills and the ability to troubleshoot network issues.
• Understanding of cloud monitoring, performance optimization, and incident troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with cloud security policies and access control practices.
• Good technical documentation, communication, and teamwork skills.

Certifications

• AWS, Microsoft Azure, or other relevant cloud certifications are preferred.

Language Requirements

• Fluent English, with the ability to communicate effectively in professional settings, both verbally and in writing.
• Proficiency in Chinese or another foreign language, such as Spanish, Malay, German, or Arabic, is an advantage.
• Chinese-speaking candidates are preferred.
