Cloud & Security Operations Engineer

Role Summary:

This role is critical for the stability and integrity of the digital wallet infrastructure. Reporting to the CTO, the Cloud & Security Engineer will be the primary guardian of our Azure environment. The focus is on building a "Security-by-Design" infrastructure, automating operations, and ensuring the platform meets the strict security standards required for a licensed Payment Institution.

Key Responsibilities:

Azure Infrastructure Management:

Manage and optimize the Azure ecosystem (AKS, App Services, Azure SQL, Service Bus, Key Vault).

Security Engineering (CISO Support): Implement and manage security tools: Microsoft Defender for Cloud, Azure Sentinel (SIEM), and WAF.

Identity & Access Management:

Enforce strict IAM policies, Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), and Privileged Identity Management (PIM).

DevSecOps:

Integrate security scanning and automated testing into the CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps/GitHub Actions).

Compliance & Audit Readiness:

Maintain technical documentation for BNR (National Bank) compliance and lead vulnerability assessment and remediation efforts.

Monitoring & Incident Response:

Build real-time dashboards for system health and act as the primary responder for infrastructure or security incidents.

Technical Requirements:

Cloud Experience:

Minimum 7+ years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure.

Security Expertise:

Deep understanding of network security, encryption standards, and threat modeling.

Automation:

Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Bicep, or ARM templates) and scripting (PowerShell/Bash).

Certifications:

AZ-104 (Administrator) and AZ-500 (Security Engineer) are highly desirable.

Mindset:

A proactive approach to identifying system bottlenecks and potential security gaps before they impact the business.
