We are looking for a Data Engineer with strong Python and SQL skills, hands-on experience with Databricks and AWS, and experience working with large-scale data platforms.
A typical day might include the following:
- Designing, developing, and maintaining scalable data pipelines and ETL processes.
- Working with large and complex datasets to ensure data quality, reliability, and performance.
- Developing data solutions using Python, SQL, Databricks, and AWS technologies.
- Collaborating with mixed delivery teams involving client stakeholders and technical teams.
- Enhancing and maintaining existing data platforms and applications in brownfield enterprise environments.
- Optimizing data processing workflows and improving scalability across data solutions.
- Contributing to technical discussions, solution design, and engineering best practices.
To ensure success in this role, you need the following experience and skills:
- Strong hands-on experience with Python and SQL.
- Experience working with Databricks and AWS services.
- Solid understanding of data engineering concepts, ETL/ELT processes, and data integration.
- Experience working with large-scale datasets and addressing data performance and scalability challenges.
- Experience with distributed data processing frameworks such as Spark/PySpark.
- Experience working on brownfield products and enhancing existing solutions.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills within client-facing and cross-functional teams.
- Ability to work independently and proactively in a dynamic environment.
- Good command of English, both written and spoken.
Nice to have:
- Experience with data lakes and modern data architectures.
- Experience working in Agile delivery environments.
- Exposure to cloud-native data platforms and services.
