About the Role An experienced FullStack Engineer is required to support the development, enhancement and ongoing maintenance of enterprise applications within a large-scale organisation. The role is focused on delivering secure, scalable and high-performing web solutions, supporting both existing services and future system enhancements.

Working within an established Agile team, you will collaborate with technical and business stakeholders to design, build, deploy and support full-stack applications. This position combines software engineering, cloud deployment, security, integration and DevSecOps responsibilities across a complex application landscape.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain enterprise-grade web applications across front-end, back-end and database layers.
• Build responsive user interfaces using JavaScript, HTML, CSS and related technologies.
• Develop business logic and server-side components using Java and enterprise frameworks.
• Create, enhance and support RESTful APIs and integration services.
• Implement secure authentication and authorisation mechanisms.
• Apply software security best practices, including secure coding, validation, logging and monitoring.
• Design and optimise database schemas, SQL queries and data access layers.
• Integrate applications with databases and external systems.
• Monitor and improve application performance, scalability and reliability.
• Perform testing, debugging, troubleshooting and code quality validation.
• Contribute to solution architecture and technical design decisions.
• Manage automated build, release and deployment processes within CI/CD pipelines.
• Deploy and support solutions in cloud environments.
• Maintain technical documentation and knowledge-sharing materials.
• Collaborate with project managers, service managers, developers and other stakeholders in Agile/Scrum teams.
• Deliver software releases, deployment packages and operational reporting artifacts.

Requirements

• Master's degree level education or equivalent Level 7 qualification within the European Qualifications Framework.
• At least 15 years of professional experience in information technology.
• Minimum B2 level English communication skills, written and spoken.
• 10+ years of full-stack software development experience covering front-end, back-end and databases.
• 12+ years of Java enterprise development experience.
• Experience with Spring Boot, Spring Framework, Hibernate, JPA, Spring Data and Spring Security.
• Hands-on expertise with OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect and JWT-based security implementations.
• Strong knowledge of JavaScript, JSON, HTML, CSS, jQuery and JSP.
• Experience with JSF, PrimeFaces and Dojo JS.
• Extensive experience with relational databases, including Oracle and advanced SQL development; knowledge of PostgreSQL and MongoDB.
• Experience designing and developing APIs and web services.
• Knowledge of Oracle WebLogic, Apache Tomcat and enterprise web application deployment.
• Experience with CI/CD and DevSecOps tools including Jenkins, Bamboo, Maven, Webpack, GitHub and Bitbucket.
• Practical experience deploying or supporting applications in AWS and/or Microsoft Azure environments.
• Experience with ESRI ArcGIS, ArcGIS APIs, ArcGIS JavaScript API and shapefile processing.
• Strong understanding of Agile, Scrum, continuous integration, testing and collaborative software delivery.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication and stakeholder collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting the modernisation of established enterprise applications while maintaining operational services.
