A typical day might include the following:
- Design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs using modern .NET technologies
- Contribute to the modernization of legacy applications (.NET Framework 4.8) towards newer architectures
- Collaborate with Business Analysts, Product Owners, and Architects to define and implement technical solutions
- Take ownership of features throughout the full development lifecycle, from implementation to production support
- Investigate and resolve production issues, ensuring minimal business impact
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to maintaining high engineering standards
- Proactively communicate progress, risks, and blockers to the Team Lead and Product Owner
- Occasionally participate in short business trips abroad (a few days every few months)
To ensure success in this role, you need the following experience and skills:
- Strong experience with C# and .NET (preferably .NET Core / .NET 8)
- Hands-on experience with maintaining or modernizing legacy .NET applications (.NET Framework 4.8)
- Good understanding of REST API design and development
- Solid knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server (queries, transactions, performance tuning)
- Practical experience with frontend technologies (Angular 12+ or React)
- Experience working in Agile environments and collaborating with cross-functional teams
- Ability to take ownership and deliver end-to-end solutions
Would be considered a big plus:
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
- Knowledge of microservices architecture and distributed systems
- Experience with Azure DevOps (CI/CD pipelines, Git workflows)
- Familiarity with NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Redis)
