Full Stack PHP Developer

A typical day might include the following:

• Develop and maintain backend features using PHP and CodeIgniter.
• Implement new application modules and enhance existing functionality.
• Update frontend interfaces and resolve UI-related issues.
• Extend the existing API and support the migration of existing interactions to API-based functionality.
• Write and maintain SQL queries and work with relational databases.
• Create and maintain automated tests using PHPUnit.
• Investigate and resolve bugs across the application.
• Refactor existing code and contribute to application security improvements.
• Maintain and adapt CI/CD workflows using Azure Pipelines.
• Contribute to task estimation and weekly planning, follow through on delivery commitments, and communicate potential blockers.
• Support occasional updates to legacy components when required.

To ensure success in this role, you need the following experience and skills:

• Solid professional experience in PHP application development and maintenance.
• Hands-on experience with CodeIgniter or a strong PHP framework background with the ability to adapt quickly.
• Practical frontend development experience and the ability to work across both backend and user interface tasks.
• Experience developing and integrating APIs.
• Good knowledge of SQL and relational databases.
• Experience with automated unit testing, ideally using PHPUnit.
• Working knowledge of Linux and Docker.
• Familiarity with CI/CD workflows.
• Ability to understand an existing codebase, troubleshoot issues and deliver tasks autonomously.
• Good communication, collaboration, and task estimation skills.

Nice to have:

• Knowledge of C#, Visual Basic and DevExpress for occasional work on legacy components.
• Familiarity with Python, DevExpress
