Position overview
We are looking for a Fullstack Developer(Java & React) to join our Randstad Digital Romanian Team in collaboration with one of our clients, Europe's largest electronics and home appliances retail chain. Our client operates a massive omnichannel ecosystem, seamlessly integrating over 1,000 physical stores across 11 European countries with a robust online platform, offering everything from IT and electronics to extended warranties and recycling services.
In this role, you will be a versatile technical contributor, commanding both backend and frontend technologies to support end-to-end feature development in a large-scale enterprise environment. You will collaborate closely within an Agile team to build, scale, and optimize complex software systems, bringing a deep passion for product development to a highly dynamic retail technology landscape.
Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver end-to-end features, ensuring a smooth technical integration from the frontend user experience to the backend;
- Build, optimize, and maintain responsive user interfaces using ReactJS, Redux, and modern JavaScript/TypeScript;
- Utilize Node.js to effectively bridge frontend applications with complex backend systems;
- Write clean, maintainable, and scalable backend code using Java;
- Ensure the secure and efficient handling of enterprise-grade databases, specifically PostgreSQL and Oracle;
- Actively participate in Agile ceremonies, collaborating seamlessly with cross-functional teams to build and scale software ecosystems;
- Solve technical challenges through strong analytical thinking, continuously contributing to product innovation and operational stability.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of work experience in both Backend and Frontend software development methodologies within enterprise environments;
- Strong proficiency in frontend technologies: ReactJS, Redux, JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, and CSS;
- Practical experience using Node.js as a middleware/bridge between frontend interfaces and backend APIs;
- Solid knowledge of Java programming and backend development;
- Hands-on experience in the secure handling of relational databases (PostgreSQL and Oracle);
- Hands-on experience with Spring-Boot microservices, REST APIs, and GraphQL
- Strong analytical thinking, solid problem-solving skills, and a deep passion for product development;
- An Agile mindset, feeling comfortable working within a collaborative team to build and scale software systems;
- Fluency in English (written and spoken).
Nice to have
- Familiarity with automated testing frameworks such as Puppeteer and/or Cucumber;
- Experience with DevOps workflows, CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins), Terraform, and Git-Ops practices;
- Practical knowledge of containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes);
- Experience working within Cloud environments, particularly Google Cloud Platform (GCP);
- Previous background or experience in the e-commerce/omnichannel retail sector.
