Your Role And Responsibilities

As an Application Architect specializing in Java, you will design application solutions. You will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and re-engineering highly complex application components, integrating software packages, programs, and reusable objects across multiple platforms.

Your Primary Responsibilities Will Include

• Design Application Solutions: Design comprehensive application solutions to meet business requirements.
• Develop and Re-engineer Components: Design, develop, and re-engineer highly complex application components, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems and platforms.
• Integrate Software Packages: Integrate software packages, programs, and reusable objects residing on multiple platforms, ensuring compatibility and optimal performance.
• Drive Solution Delivery: Drive the delivery of application solutions, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and successful implementation.

Required Technical And Professional Expertise

• Strong expertise in Java application architecture, including design patterns, best practices, and enterprise/distributed architectures (SOA, microservices, event-driven systems).
• Hands-on experience with Java EE application servers, particularly Oracle WebLogic, and designing scalable, high-performance systems.
• Deep knowledge of containerization and cloud-native platforms, including Docker, Kubernetes, and Red Hat OpenShift, with a focus on deployment, scalability, and resilience.
• Solid integration and data architecture skills, including application communication mechanisms, message-driven architectures, large-scale data processing (batch, streaming), and DB2 performance analysis.
• Proficiency in system design and documentation, including UML architecture diagrams and understanding of web application interface design principles.
• Fluent in English.

Preferred Technical And Professional Experience

• Being able to interpret the information provided by Dynatrace and/or Instana is a plus
• Passive knowledge of French or Dutch
