This position is hybrid, requiring 5 days/month in the Bucharest office. 🚀Then what?

We are looking for a Java Developer to join our fintech client and contribute to the development and evolution of a large-scale payment platform. You will play a key role in designing and implementing new features, driving technical excellence, mentoring team members, and collaborating within an Agile environment to deliver high-quality software.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable backend features and platform enhancements.
• Take technical ownership of new functionalities, from design through implementation and delivery.
• Contribute to the architecture and continuous technical evolution of the platform.
• Ensure code quality by following development standards, best practices, and clean coding principles.
• Develop and maintain RESTful microservices using modern Java technologies.
• Write automated tests and promote TDD and BDD practices.
• Produce clear technical documentation and actively share knowledge within the team.
• Mentor junior developers through code reviews, technical guidance, and best practices.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production and development issues efficiently.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment to deliver high-quality solutions on time.

Technical Skills:

• Strong commercial experience with Java 17+ , Spring Boot , Hibernate , and SQL .
• Experience building RESTful APIs and microservices .
• Solid understanding of object-oriented design , TDD/BDD , and Agile development practices.
• Familiarity with DevOps principles and CI/CD environments.
• Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript .
• Experience with AWS and cloud-native applications.

Nice to Have:

• Knowledge of clean code , SOLID principles , and design patterns .
• Experience with testing frameworks ( JUnit, Cucumber, Selenium/WebDriver ) and development tools ( Git, Maven, Jenkins ).
• Familiarity with Unix/Linux , shell scripting, XML/JSON , and large-scale database environments.
