We are growing rapidly and continuously building new features and improvements. Technology is at the core of everything we do, and we actively use AI to accelerate and improve our development process. That’s why we’re looking for a Java Developer who is excited to help build, improve, and scale our platform.

Our team is distributed between Romania (Cluj) and the Netherlands (Amsterdam), giving you the opportunity to collaborate closely with international colleagues on a daily basis. Strong English communication skills are therefore essential.

What will you do?

As a Java Developer, you will be responsible for developing and improving the backend of our platform. You will work on new features, integrations, performance improvements, and the overall stability and scalability of our systems.

Your responsibilities include:

• Developing and maintaining backend services using Java
• Building scalable and reliable APIs
• Working on new product features and platform improvements
• Using AI tools such as Claude/Cursor to support development, debugging, documentation, and code quality
• Writing clean, maintainable, and well-structured code
• Troubleshooting, debugging, and resolving technical issues
• Contributing ideas to improve system architecture and product quality
• Collaborating with developers, product owners, QA, and designers (NL & RO)

What do you bring?

• At least 5 years of experience as a Java Developer
• Strong knowledge of Java and backend development
• Experience or strong interest in AI-assisted development using tools such as Claude/Cursor etc.
• Experience with REST APIs and web application development
• Experience with databases such as PostgreSQL or similar
• Basic understanding of cloud environments is a plus
• Strong English communication skills (required)
• Analytical mindset, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail
• Experience with Quarkus, AWS, serverless architecture, React, or advanced AI development workflows is not required, but is considered a strong plus.
