We are looking for an experienced Senior Java Backend Developer with strong expertise in Oracle PL/SQL and enterprise integrations. This role is ideal for a senior engineer who enjoys solving complex backend challenges, working with large datasets, and designing integration flows for missioncritical systems. You will be a key technical contributor in a mature enterprise environment, driving backend development, optimizing data processing, and ensuring smooth communication between distributed systems.

What youll be doing

• Design and develop robust backend services using Java (enterprise-grade applications)
• Implement business logic, service orchestration, and integration points
• Ensure scalability, performance, and reliability of backend modules
• Develop and optimize advanced PL/SQL packages, procedures, functions, and triggers
• Perform SQL tuning and improve data processing efficiency
• Work closely with large datasets and complex schemas
• Drive best practices around data modeling and database performance
• Support and enhance REST/SOAP integration flows between systems
• Troubleshoot data transformation issues and integration inconsistencies
• Participate in technical design and architecture discussions

What youll bring along

• A University degree or advanced diploma in a software engineering-related discipline, preferably in Computer Science, or equivalent experience
• Minimum 7 years of experience in a similar position
• Strong experience in Java backend development
• Solid understanding of: Object-oriented design, Multithreading and concurrency, Service-oriented architectures
• Deep hands-on experience with Oracle PL/SQL development
• Experience with Jakarta EE or Spring Framework
• Good knowledge of SQL performance tuning at scale
• Experience with Git or similar VCS
• Experience with with CI/CD, build and deployment pipelines
• Good knowledge of: REST/SOAP APIs, schema validation, and data transformation
• Very good English and Germa communication skills, written and spoken
