Java Software Engineer

📍 This role is hybrid with 1-2 days on-site in Bucharest.

🚀 First who?

• 5+ years of software development experience with Java (8, 11, or 17) and Spring Boot.
• Solid background in microservices and RESTful APIs.
• Hands-on experience with databases (PostgreSQL, SQL) and JPA / Hibernate.
• Exposure to cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or IBM Cloud) and Docker/Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Git, Maven/Gradle, Jenkins) and testing (JUnit, Mockito).
• Experience or interest in mentoring peers or stepping into a Squad Lead role.
• Fluent in English and comfortable in Agile/Scrum setups.

• You’ll drive cloud migration and modernization initiatives from design to production.
• You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams, with opportunities to guide architecture or lead a squad.

📌 Your mission

• Design, build, and maintain enterprise Java applications using Spring Boot
• Contribute to cloud migration and microservices architecture projects
• Write clean, well-tested code and participate actively in code reviews
• Support automated CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and production stability
• Share knowledge, mentor colleagues, or coordinate squad delivery if acting as a lead
