Java Software Engineer

About the Project The project is focused on the extension and digitalization of INKO. INKO is a financial planning tool designed for healthcare professionals (e.g., dentists), enabling simulation of practice investments and financial planning scenarios. The platform helps assess revenue feasibility, investment strategies, and competitive positioning through data-driven insights.

Role Overview

We are looking for experienced Backend or Full Stack Developers with strong Java expertise to contribute to the development and extension of this digital solution. You will be part of a distributed team working on modern microservices-based architecture and cloud/container platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Java-based technologies.
• Contribute to the development of scalable microservices architectures.
• Build and integrate RESTful APIs and web services.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality features.
• Ensure code quality through unit and integration testing.
• Participate in system design discussions and technical decision-making.

Required Skills & Experience

• Experience in backend and/or full-stack development.
• Strong expertise in:
• Java
• Spring Boot
• J2EE
• Hibernate
• REST Web Services
• SQL (Oracle database)
• Experience with:
• Unit testing and integration testing
• Microservices architecture
• Container platforms (preferably OpenShift)
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in agile environments.

Nice-to-Have (for Full Stack Profile)

• Frontend development experience with:
• TypeScript
• Node.js
• Vue.js, Angular, or React
• CSS
• Experience with frontend testing frameworks.

Languages

• English – mandatory
• German – considered a strong advantage
