Java Technical Lead

DB Global Technology is Deutsche Bank’s technology centre in Central and Eastern Europe. Since its set-up in 2013, the Bucharest Technology Centre (BEX) has continuously delivered global technology solutions, playing a key role in the bank’s technology transformation.

We are looking for a VP Java Engineer to join our Treasury Technology team, contributing to the development of enterprise-grade applications within the Securitization area.

You will work on backend systems that support complex financial processes, including transaction lifecycle, cashflow generation, and data processing, in a highly regulated environment.

Your key responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable Java-based applications using modern frameworks.
• Contribute to architecture and technical design in collaboration with architects.
• Ensure high-quality code through reviews, testing, and best practices.
• Provide support for production systems and resolve complex issues.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver end-to-end solutions.

Your skills and experience

• Strong experience in Java and Spring (Spring Boot preferred).
• Experience building enterprise applications and microservices.
• Knowledge of integration patterns (REST, messaging systems such as JMS/Kafka).
• Experience with relational databases (Oracle, SQL).
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and modern development practices.
