Senior Financial Controller

We are recruiting a Senior Financial Controller for our client, an international supplier of professional catering equipment and kitchen solutions for the HoReCa industry.

Location:

Ghimbav, Brașov, Full office (Romania)

Working schedule:

Monday–Friday: 08:00 – 16:30 (30-minute break included)

Contract type:

Unlimited employment contract, with a 3-month probation period

Requirements:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics;

Min 5 years experience in the financial area including financial analysis, controlling, audit;

Prior experience in team leadership or coordination is a plus;

Strong knowledge of accounting principles and local accounting regulations (RJ);

Advanced Excel skills (mandatory);

Advanced English (written and spoken);

Proactive, solution-oriented, and hands-on mindset;

Professionals capable of working independently while taking full ownership of their responsibilities;

Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally;

Team player, ambitious, results-oriented, and reliable.

Responsibilities:

Oversee month-end and year-end closing processes, management reporting, annual accounts, and complex accounting matters;

Review and coach the accounting team (5 FTE) throughout closing activities, including actuals consolidation and intercompany reconciliations;

Act as the right hand of the Manager Finance & Control and serve as the primary day-to-day contact for the accounting team;

Co-own the budgeting, forecasting, and business review processes, providing relevant insights into financial performance;

Prepare and deliver in-depth financial analyses, identifying variances, trends, and key drivers, and translating data into clear, actionable insights;

Monitor cash flow and working capital to support effective financial planning and control;

Lead and coordinate the external audit process, maintaining close collaboration with auditors;

Drive continuous improvement of finance processes, including:

Optimization of month-end closing and consolidation processes;

Development of dashboards and control reports;

Transition from Excel-based reporting to BI solutions;

Support of automation and efficiency initiatives.
