In this role, you will be responsible for designing and implementing user-friendly web applications, integrating front-end and back-end components, and ensuring optimal performance and responsiveness of applications.

• Partner with the Tech Lead to provide oversight on system architecture and high-level design decisions;
• Lead the development of large, complex functionalities with a primary focus on Python (back-end) and React (front-end);
• Collaborate with DevOps to refine CI/CD pipelines and understand infrastructure requirements (K8s, Networking);
• Implement best practices for data streaming, load balancing, and backend scaling to handle large environmental datasets;
• Champion rigorous testing and pull-request processes to prevent deployment conflicts and ensure project stability.

Job Requirements

• Expert-level Python (FastAPI/Flask/Django);
• Strong proficiency in React and Next.js;
• Deep understanding of PostgreSQL. You must be comfortable with relations, indices, constraints, and transactions (beyond basic ORM usage);
• Experience with GIS skills for visualizing spatial climate data;
• Experience with GCP (Google Cloud Platform);
• Proficiency in Event-Driven Architecture using Queues and Pub/Sub;
• Experience with Large Data Streaming and handling high-volume datasets;
• Kubernetes (K8s) fundamentals;
• CI/CD workflows;
• Foundational knowledge of network routing, policies, and load balancing;
• Implementation of throttling, authentication, and authorization best practices.
