Responsibilities
- Design and implement highly scalable, secure, and resilient backend solutions using Java and Spring Boot.
- Develop, test, and document high-quality software components in line with business and technical requirements, contributing throughout the entire software development lifecycle.
- Maintain high standards of software quality through clean coding practices, comprehensive testing, code reviews, and contribution to technical standards.
- Analyze and resolve complex technical issues, ensuring system stability, scalability, and performance.
- Leverage Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services to build, deploy, and manage robust and scalable cloud-based solutions.
- Design and integrate RESTful APIs and distributed services.
- Collaborate closely with Business Analysts, QA Engineers, developers, and other stakeholders to design and deliver effective solutions.
- Contribute to technical discussions and architectural decisions, applying appropriate design patterns and engineering best practices.
- Provide technical support throughout the release process to ensure stable, high-quality deliveries.
Skills
Must have:
- Extensive hands-on experience with Java and the Spring ecosystem, including Spring Boot, Spring Data JPA, Spring Security, and Spring Cloud.
- Strong expertise in JPA and Hibernate, with solid knowledge of SQL and relational databases.
- Proven hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), including services such as Cloud Run, GKE, Cloud SQL, Pub/Sub, or equivalent.
- Strong experience designing, building, and consuming RESTful APIs.
- Solid understanding of software design patterns, clean code, and architectural principles.
- Experience developing and deploying containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes.
- Good working knowledge of Maven, Webpack, Postman, and OpenAPI/Swagger specifications.
- Experience with unit and integration testing frameworks.
- Good understanding of OAuth2 flows, authentication/authorization mechanisms, and secure API development practices.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, international environment.
Location & Work Model
Occasional attendance at the Bucharest office may be required depending on project needs, team collaboration, client requirements, or specific business activities. Candidates should therefore be comfortable with occasional visits to the office when needed.
