Software Engineer – React & SecOps

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Software Engineer to join a team working on applications and services related to user accounts and identity within a large-scale digital platform.

This is a hybrid engineering role that combines frontend development with SecOps and product support. Alongside building and maintaining applications, you'll be involved in troubleshooting, incident response, monitoring, and operational improvements.

We're looking for someone who enjoys solving problems across different layers of a system, from frontend applications and APIs to cloud infrastructure and identity services, and who takes a proactive approach to reliability and security.

What you'll do

• Develop and maintain frontend applications using React, Next.js, and TypeScript.
• Create, maintain, and improve automated tests, particularly using Playwright and Vitest.
• Investigate and troubleshoot issues across frontend applications, APIs, AWS infrastructure, and identity-related services.
• Participate in SecOps activities, incident response, and ongoing product support.
• Monitor application behavior, analyze logs, and investigate production issues using tools such as CloudWatch and Grafana.
• Identify root causes of technical issues and contribute to operational improvements.
• Support secure engineering practices, particularly for applications handling user identity and personal information.
• Collaborate with product, security, platform, and engineering teams to resolve issues and improve system reliability.

What we're looking for

• Strong experience with React, TypeScript, and modern frontend development, ideally including Next.js.
• Practical, hands-on experience with Playwright and automated testing.
• Familiarity with Vitest and other automated testing approaches.
• Experience with AWS and cloud-based operations.
• Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools such as CloudWatch or Grafana.
• Ability to investigate and troubleshoot issues across frontend, cloud, APIs, and identity layers.
• Experience contributing to production support, incident investigation, or SecOps activities.
• Understanding of secure software engineering practices, particularly around identity and personal information.
• Good problem-solving skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across different engineering teams.

Nice to have

• Experience with C#/.NET or Java.
• Familiarity with Cloudflare Bot Management, WAF, rate limiting, or Turnstile.
