We’re looking for a Software Engineering Director – a business-driven and visionary leader who can shape our technology area, strenghten Hyperfy proprietary platforms, grow our teams, and turn great ideas into scalable solutions.

Your Mission

You will architect and drive the company’s end-to-end technology strategy across Software, AI, IoT, and IT infrastructure, ensuring strong alignment with business goals and long-term product direction. You will shape, mentor, and scale high-performing teams, combining strategic leadership with hands-on involvement where it brings the most impact. You’ll play a key role in the Board, driving strategic decisions and building a strong technological foundation for future growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the Software, AI, IoT and IT teams to deliver high-quality, scalable products that align with business goals and customer expectations.

• Provide strategic and hands-on leadership across the Software, AI, and IoT teams, ensuring high-quality delivery while driving the long-term technology vision.

• Lead, coach, and grow a team of 20+ people, including 5 direct reports, building strong leaders, creating clarity, alignment, and accountability across teams, and high-trust collaboration across all technical functions.

• Strengthen and evolve the company’s proprietary platforms, ensuring they remain robust, scalable, secure, and ready for future market expansion.

• Set and execute the technology roadmap, balancing strategic initiatives (platform evolution, architecture, modernization) with day-to-day delivery needs and customer commitments.

• Work closely with commercial and customer-service teams to validate market needs, prioritize the product portfolio, and translate customer feedback into actionable engineering and roadmap decisions.

• Drive continuous improvement in engineering practices, including development workflows, release processes, quality assurance, DevOps, and system reliability.

• Coordinate cross-functional delivery, ensuring that Software, AI, IoT, PMO and Commercial teams remain aligned, informed, and able to execute predictably.

• Evaluate and strengthen the existing product suite, assessing scalability, maintainability, and market readiness, and defining evolution paths for each solution.

• Stay ahead of emerging technologies (AI/ML, IoT, Cloud, automation) and identify opportunities to accelerate innovation, enhance customer value, and differentiate the company’s technology ecosystem

• Oversee IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, cloud operations, and resilience, ensuring stable, secure, high-performance systems.

• Manage budgets (Software vertical P&L responsibility), vendor relationships, and technology investments, ensuring efficient use of resources and clear ROI.

• Act as a bridge between technology teams and executive leadership, providing clarity, transparency, and strategic input to Board-level discussions.

• Foster a culture of ownership, openness, and continuous learning, ensuring that people feel supported, challenged, and able to grow.

What We’re Looking For

• 8+ years of experience in software development and product leadership roles

• Proven track record in IoT, AI or technology-driven environments and IT Infrastructure

• Strong understanding of product lifecycle management and go-to-market execution

• Experience in building and structuring technology teams
• A business-oriented mindset, able to translate technology into commercial value

• Excellent communication and influencing skills at executive level
