AWS Backend Developer (Cloud & API Engineer)

• *We are seeking an experienced AWS Backend Developer to design, build, and maintain scalable cloud infrastructure and backend systems. The ideal candidate will have deep experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) and strong expertise in designing, developing, and maintaining APIs for modern applications.

You will work closely with product managers, frontend engineers, and DevOps teams to build reliable backend services that power high-performance web platforms.

The role requires strong knowledge of cloud architecture, distributed systems, and API design, with the ability to write clean, scalable, and well-documented code.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop backend systems using AWS cloud services
• Build secure, scalable, and high-performance RESTful APIs
• Integrate backend services with databases and external systems
• Develop microservices architecture for scalable applications
• Implement authentication, authorization, and API security best practices
• Optimize application performance and cloud infrastructure usage
• Work with DevOps teams to support CI/CD pipelines and automated deployments
• Monitor backend systems and troubleshoot cloud infrastructure issues
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code
• Collaborate with frontend developers to ensure seamless API integration

Required Skills

• Strong experience with AWS Cloud Services (EC2, Lambda, S3, RDS, API Gateway, CloudWatch)
• Experience building REST APIs or GraphQL APIs
• Strong backend programming experience (Python, Node.js, Java, or Go)
• Experience with microservices architecture
• Knowledge of PostgreSQL, MySQL, or NoSQL databases
• Experience with container technologies such as Docker or Kubernetes
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation
• Strong understanding of cloud security best practices

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with serverless architecture using AWS Lambda
• Knowledge of event-driven architectures (SQS, SNS, Kafka)
• Experience working with high-traffic cloud applications
