Python Developer – Data & Analytics

About the Role

We are looking for a Python Developer with strong analytical and data-driven thinking to join our team. The ideal candidate is passionate about building scalable backend solutions, processing and analyzing data, and working closely with business and product teams to turn data into actionable insights.

Experience with the R programming language is considered a strong plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services and data-driven applications in Python or R
• Work with R for data analysis, statistical modeling, and development of analytical solutions
• Work with structured and unstructured data from multiple sources
• Collaborate with Data Analysts, Product Managers, and Engineers to define technical solutions
• Analyze datasets and implement scalable data models
• Improve application performance, reliability, and maintainability
• Write clean, testable, and well-documented code
• Participate in code reviews and technical discussions

Required Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in Python development
• Strong knowledge of Python frameworks and libraries
• Experience working with databases (SQL - PostgreSQL, MySQL and/or NoSQL)
• Strong understanding of database concepts, data modeling, normalization, query optimization, indexing, and database best practices
• Experience designing scalable and efficient database solutions
• Understanding of performance tuning, transactions, and data integrity principles
• Experience with data analysis and data-driven development
• Good problem-solving and analytical skills
• Strong communication skills and teamwork mindset

Nice to Have

• Experience with R-Shiny Framework
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines
• Experience with BI/reporting tools
