Vadim Kondratyev

I am an analytical chemist with a strong theoretical and practical background in chemistry and biotechnology. I have more than 3 years of hands-on experience with analysis of biologics and small molecules in academic and commercial R&D labs. Being a highly curious and motivated person, I am particularly interested in analytical science in terms of drug discovery and development process.

1) June 2021 – Current, BIOCAD

Analytical Scientist (R&D Mass Spectrometry lab)

• Conducting complex studies of biologics (mono- and bispecific antibodies, ADCs, small proteins, viral capsid proteins) with LC-MS (intact, top-down, bottom-up characterization) and LC-UV
• Small molecules analysis (chemical drugs, excipients, L&E) with LC-MS, LC-UV and GS-MS (quantitative/qualitative)
• Development, validation and transfer of new analysis methods and optimization of existing workflows according to ICH guidelines under GMP regulations
• Work in close collaboration with drug discovery and development teams

2) May 2020 – June 2021, All-Russia Research Institute for Food Additives

Analytical Scientist (Biotechnology department)

• Conducting analytical studies with LC-MS, GC-MS, LC-UV, GC-FID, FTIR, UV/Vis spectroscopy (small proteins, bacterial metabolites, biopolymers, food additives)
• Downstream processing of biosynthesis products (solid/liquid phase extraction, filtration, preparative LC, dialysis etc) with further characterization
• Lab equipment maintenance, writing reports and scientific articles, negotiating with commercial clients
