Understanding (Ability to Learn)

Success in Life begins in one’s Mindset. One’s Mindset will mold their heart, which will create their words, making their actions, thus ending in their Results. When someone does not like the results they are getting somewhere in life, they should not jump and blame circumstances. The results we reaped were probably from actions sowed from weeks, months, or even years before whatever circumstance that are now in front of us. There for we must change our Mindset. Now, the question is "How?"
Mindset is created through understanding or a person’s ability to learn. I have heard some people say, “I can’t Learn or Understand this.”
Yet, God has promised to give you understanding of his Word and the ways of life. Daniel and his friends (in the Old Testament) all tied into this promise and were successful in wisdom and all matters of literature and learning. You, and I can also receive the same promise for ourselves.
The Word says that Jesus opened His disciples’ understanding so that they could know Scriptures. (Luke 24:25.) The same promise applies to you. The apostle Paul says that the eyes of your understanding can be enlightened so that you know the hope of your calling and the exceeding greatness of God’s power toward you. (Eph. 1:18.) All ability to learn and understand things is just a prayer away.
The book of Proverbs is filled with verses about knowledge. One of my favorites is “He who gains Wisdom loves his own life; he who keeps understanding shall prosper and find good.” (Proverbs 19:8 AMP)
A few years ago, I read a book called It’s OK to Leave the Plantation: The New Underground Railroad, by C. Mason Weaver. This book discusses the “plantation mentality” that is causing Americans to become co-dependent. Just like this book was speaking of, there are so many people who don’t even realize that they have the freedom and the choice to change their Mindset. They believe the only path in life is to work a job and build someone else’s dream. This is just what today's society, media, and the world has always told us. So many people have been feed "blue pills" so long that the moment the taste a "Red Pill" they either spit it out due to fear or it is the first time they say,“It’s not that I didn’t know, It’s didn’t know I didn’t know.”
Usable Knowledge is the one of the greatest assets. This is a journey. You will need companions to journey along with, books and audios to teach and mold you. Sometimes, you even may need to let go of these same things that are hurting this journey. Look at your daily routine. Is each step going forward, backwards, are keeping you in the same spot?
I am going to leave you with a quote, "If you don't like something in your life, change it. If it is something you are unable to change, change your attitude about it."
