About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Full-Stack Developer with strong expertise in Ruby on Rails and React with TypeScript to join our team in Riyadh. You will build and maintain secure, reliable, and maintainable web applications — including REST APIs, databases, background processing, and responsive user interfaces.

Key Responsibilities

Backend — Ruby on Rails

• Develop and maintain Rails applications using clean, modular, maintainable code.
• Design, implement, and document REST APIs for web, mobile, and external integrations.
• Design database schemas, manage migrations, and optimize queries and indexes.
• Implement authentication, session management, and role-based access control.
• Build scheduled and asynchronous background jobs (notifications, reporting, data imports).
• Apply secure coding practices and resolve security vulnerabilities.
• Diagnose and improve performance, caching, and resource utilization.

Frontend — React TypeScript

• Build responsive, interactive interfaces with reusable, strongly typed components.
• Integrate React frontends with Rails APIs — auth, loading states, validation, errors.
• Translate approved designs into functional interfaces with UI/UX designers.
• Manage frontend state and API data using appropriate patterns and tools.
• Support multilingual interfaces, including Arabic RTL and English LTR.

Quality & Team

• Write automated tests for backend logic, APIs, frontend components, and critical journeys.
• Review code and enforce agreed development standards.
• Support deployment, monitoring, and production troubleshooting.
• Maintain technical documentation and mentor junior developers.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
• 5 years in web development, including:
• 3 years with Ruby on Rails
• 2 years hands-on with React and TypeScript
• Strong knowledge of Ruby, OOP, and MVC architecture.
• Experience with PostgreSQL or MySQL.
• Proven experience developing APIs and integrating third-party services.
• Experience with automated testing and Git-based workflows.
• Proven experience integrating a Rails backend with a React frontend.
• Strong knowledge of JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, and CSS.
• Proven experience on government projects (required).
