Senior Python Developer

About the Role

We're looking for a Senior Python Developer to join our team and help build and maintain our voice and telephony platform. You'll work on the core systems that power call handling, voice processing, and real-time telephony features — writing backend code that needs to be fast, reliable, and production-grade.

What You'll Do

Design, build, and maintain Python services and backend components for our voice/telephony platform

Work with real-time audio/voice data streams and telephony protocols

Integrate Python systems with telephony infrastructure (e.g., SIP, RTP, or similar VoIP protocols)

Optimize performance and reliability of systems handling live call traffic

Collaborate closely with our Asterisk/telephony engineering team to ensure smooth integration between systems

Write clean, well-tested, maintainable code and participate in code reviews

Troubleshoot and resolve production issues in a voice/telephony environment

Contribute to architecture decisions as the platform scales What We're Looking For

5+ years of professional experience with Python

Experience with backend/API frameworks (e.g., Django, Flask, or FastAPI)

Familiarity with telephony/VoIP concepts (SIP, RTP, call routing) or a strong interest in learning this domain quickly

Experience with real-time or event-driven systems

Solid understanding of databases (SQL/NoSQL) and system design

Comfortable working with Linux environments

Strong debugging and problem-solving skills in production systems

Good communication skills and ability to work on-site with the team Nice to Have

Prior experience with Asterisk or similar telephony platforms

Experience with audio processing or streaming technologies

Familiarity with message queues (e.g., RabbitMQ, Kafka, Redis)

Experience with containerization (Docker) and CI/CD pipelines
