WebMethods API Developer

About the Job The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in webMethods API Developer with relevant experience in API development, integration, and management. The ideal candidate should have hands-on expertise in webMethods Flow language, Integration Server, API Gateway, JMS messaging, and Terracotta caching. The role involves developing reliable integration services, managing API configurations, and implementing security and fault-tolerance mechanisms.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and optimize APIs and integration services using webMethods Flow language and established development best practices.
• Manage day-to-day operations of webMethods Integration Server (IS), including service configurations, deployment, and troubleshooting.
• Configure, expose, deploy, and manage APIs through webMethods API Gateway.
• Implement JMS-based messaging solutions using Publish/Subscribe and Producer/Consumer patterns.
• Manage Terracotta caching operations, including reading, updating, and deleting cached data.
• Implement threading and asynchronous processing within Flow services to support efficient execution.
• Develop circuit breakers, retry mechanisms, and error-handling strategies to improve service reliability.
• Configure API Gateway policies, monitor API activity, and analyze performance and usage metrics.
• Implement OAuth 2.0 authentication and manage SSL certificates, PFX files, and related security configurations.
• Investigate and resolve API integration issues while maintaining service performance, availability, and security.

Requirements

• 6+ years of hands-on experience in webMethods development and API integration.
• Strong proficiency in webMethods Flow language, service development, and Integration Server.
• Practical experience configuring and managing webMethods API Gateway, including API exposure and deployment.
• Good understanding of JMS messaging, particularly Publish/Subscribe and Producer/Consumer patterns.
• Hands-on knowledge of Terracotta caching and cache data management.
• Experience implementing threading, circuit breakers, retry mechanisms, and exception handling.
• Knowledge of API Gateway policies, analytics, and OAuth 2.0 authentication.
• Working knowledge of SSL certificates, PFX files, and secure API communication.
• Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
• Must be available to work onsite.
