• Provide osteopathic consultations, assessment and treatment for patients with spinal pain, neck pain, shoulder conditions, lower limb complaints, soft tissue injuries, postural symptoms, sports-related presentations and persistent MSK pain.
• Take detailed case histories covering general health, presenting symptoms, relevant medical background, lifestyle factors, patient concerns and treatment goals.
• Carry out posture, movement, active and passive range of motion, palpation, orthopaedic and neurological screening to identify restrictions, weakness, strain, contraindications and referral needs.
• Develop working diagnoses and patient-centred treatment plans in partnership with the patient, adapting care according to safety, clinical findings and response to treatment.
• Apply hands-on osteopathic care including soft tissue techniques, myofascial approaches, gentle release, joint articulation, mobilisation and manipulation where clinically appropriate.
• Provide exercise, posture, ergonomics, mobility, relaxation and lifestyle advice to support recovery, improve function and promote long-term self-management.
• Review relevant imaging reports where available, including MRI, X-ray and ultrasound findings, and integrate findings into safe clinical reasoning and referral decisions.
• Maintain accurate, ethical and confidential patient records, with clear attention to informed consent, professional boundaries, red flags, health and safety and clinical governance.
